Hey y'all! My name is ShaRonicka Craver Photographer serving the DFW as well as some of the surrounding areas. My story began as a child drawing my favorite cartoon characters and entering myself into art contest as early as 6 years old. I was always challenging myself to draw new and more complicated images. While in college I was introduced to Film photography! Working in the darkroom developing images completely changed the narrative and altered my artistic direction. The image would appear before my eyes as I shifted the photo paper back and forth in the tray of chemicals; It... was... like magic! Now days I'm a Photographer... I'm an entrepreneur and I'm a storyteller. I come from a large family and I've always worked with babies and children in some capacity.... Naturally I became a Newborn, Maternity and Family Photographer.
My personal objective is to change the narrative for the African American community. African Americans are often misrepresented and misunderstood. Therefore, the images floating around the world are often distorted. Changing the narrative involves changing the image. I call it the "Noir Aesthetic".
